Jason Goliath is an established stand-up comedian, MC, facilitator, actor, and television presenter from Johannesburg, known for his larger-than-life personality and infectious energy. After a career in the marketing, sales and insurance business, Jason followed his passion and quickly established himself as one of South Africa’s most sought-after entertainers. An accomplished corporate MC and facilitator, Jason has built a reputation as a consummate professional who adds a touch of energy to events for blue chip clients. He is also a founder of the award-winning comedy and entertainment agency, Goliath and Goliath, renowned for its standup comedy and corporate entertainment roster. Jason is a proud ambassador for the United Nation High Commission for Refugees LuQuLuQu Movement, which aims to shed light on the resilience of refugees.
STAND UP COMEDY
At the age of 30 Jason decided to follow his passion and took the stage for the first time to perform standup comedy. Soon he was performing at stages across Johannesburg and he has since gone on grace stages across the globe. With a commanding stage presence that is difficult to ignore and ridiculous amounts of energy, jason is inspired by everyday life and wpxeriences. He gets a thrill from making audiences laugh from uncomfortable truths. He is hilarious, raw, loud and real. He is a regular on stages across the country and has performed on some of the largest gigs in the country, including the Kings and Queens of Comedy, the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival, the Comedy Central Comedy Festival, the Big 5 Comedy Tour and the Mother City Comedy Festival, amongst others. Internationally he was on the lineup at the Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland as well as the world-renowned Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, Canada. He has recorded a number of comedy specials which are available on streaming platforms.
Acting and Presenting
Jason is an established presence on South African televsion, able to adapt to a range of roles and varied productions. He is currently a co-presenter on the award-winning television gameshow Celebrity Game Night on E! Entertainment and has previously been a host, The Morning Show on etv, as well as the Safta-nominated magazine show Man Cave, which was broadcast on SABC 3. He also previously hosted his own late night talk show on SABC 3, Larger than Life and was a co-host of the Kaya FM breakfast show. Jason’s acting credits include feature roles in local sitcoms Ses Topla and Black Tax as well a cameo appearance in Bloodshot with Vin Diesel and most recently a role in the feature film Who’s Your Daddy?.
